Why do we do it?

Education is fundamental to breaking the cycle of poverty

Education shouldn't depend on your ZIP code

In the United States, most children can expect access to school supplies, transportation, and educational resources.
For many students in vulnerable communities in Mexico, those opportunities are far less certain.

In Mexico

  • 6.4 million children and young people do not attend school.
  • Only 7 out of every 100 people receive educational support in their first three years of life.
  • And 4 out of every 10 do not attend preschool before starting lowerschool.
  • More than 600,000 are at risk of dropping out due to insufficient resources, remoteness, and violence.

In the United States

  • 4.3 million less people do not attend school in the U.S compared to Mexico
  • School attendance is compulsory and enrollment rates exceed 90% nationwide.
  • The U.S. high school graduation rate is around 87%.
  • Early childhood education programs are much more widely available

With our Education program, we seek to ensure that more students can learn and build a better future.
